- We held our annual Used Book Sale in October, raising $782.95.
- We purchased flip racks for the library’s new CD Music collection, acrylic display risers, 20 stacking chairs, and new library signage, spending more than $1820 on library improvements.
- We renewed our memberships in Friends of Kansas Libraries and Friends of Libraries USA.
- We gave $1000 to purchase library materials, including books, DVDs and books on CD.
- We created a lovely gift basket for our annual membership drive.
- We continued to provide “Babies Need Books” packets and a coupon for a free board book to parents of babies born at the Republic County Hospital.
- We mailed our quarterly newsletter, “Between Friends,” to members and elected officials.
- We paid $150 for a movie site license so that free movies could be shown on summer afternoons. We also sponsored several “Family Movie Nights” at the library.
- We held a very successful Christmas Tour of Historic Homes, earning $1311.00 for the Friends.
- We set up a online selling account through Amazon.com to sell antique and collectible books for the Friends.
